Sean Morton – Senior Lecturer/ Digital Lead – School of Health and Social Care – Staff Profile
In March 2018, the University of Lincoln School of Health and Social Care team recreated an accident to show the patient’s journey from collision to the trauma ward. This innovative role play technique helped to give student’s real life experience and a chance to put their training into practice. This experiential learning has helped frame context taught in the classroom and help develop and embed practical skills learnt on their course.
The student involved was here on work experience and had been involved in the classes throughout the week. They worked with other professionals and were involved with the emergency response experience from the initial reporting of the incident, all the way through to treatment of the injuries.
