Students from the Lincoln International Business School, at the University of Lincoln, are available to undertake Market Research Projects on behalf of local organisations.

For Employers…

Student projects start in September and/or January and typically run until May/June. Initially they will need to become familiar with your business and the specific area to be investigated, they can then work with you to produce a research brief.

The students work on behalf of you, the client, in groups of up to four, to prepare a research activity, implement and collect data, analyse and interpret the data, and then present their findings back to you.

The students are all based at the University during this time, however they will want to have regular contact with you as their client. It is their job to practice and maintain good client relationships, but the amount of time that you invest is dependent on yourself.

The university has a wealth of data information sources and many of our clients take advantage of the secondary data available, as well as conducting primary research activities. All information gathered during the project is kept confidential to the client. Students are also able to sign non-disclosure agreements if required.

There is a charge of £250 that will only be invoiced once you have received the report, recognising the value of the work completed (fees waived for charities). Any other expenses incurred during the consultation period should be a matter of discussion between yourself and the students.
