Here you will find details and links to opportunities currently available to staff within the LALT community and the student community.
LALT Festival of Learning and Teaching 2017 – 3-6pm, 20th September 2017, Sarah Swift Building
As the new academic year begins, the Dean of LALT Dr Garry Wilson would like to invite the LALT community (all teaching staff at the University of Lincoln) to enjoy food and drinks at the Sarah Swift Building on September 20th.
The event will begin at midday with a showcase of posters from current students who undertook projects funded by or associated with UROS over the summer, as well as stands with information from the support services which help staff run learning and teaching projects at Lincoln. Please feel free to drop in if you cannot make the later event for staff.
At 3pm, the Dean of LALT will award three prizes, including a student-nominated prize for most engaged supervisor among the UROS projects. The UROS posters and other stands will remain available until 6pm. Staff are invited from 3pm to 6pm, when we hope to celebrate your hard work with hog roast, drinks (veggie, gluten-free and non-alcoholic options will be available) and hopefully, the last of the summer sun.
This event will bring together the LALT community and relevant support services in advance of a number of opportunities to share practice over the course of the year, from the ‘LALT Seminar Series’ to the ‘LALT Showcase – Education in a Digital Age’ on November 7th. LALT Showcase: Education in a Digital Age 2017 – 7th November, Engine Shed
The showcase event will include support clinics, hands-on sessions, presentations and demonstrations from colleagues across the University. This is a great opportunity to network, share good practice and try hands on experiences with new technologies and how they are being used across the University.
