Poll Everywhere: Dynamic Teaching and Student Participation

Description: In this session we will look at the basics of Poll Everywhere, the University’s live audience response tool, and get hands-on with some creative and engaging applications for the tool, from live lecture response, to group critique and module evaluation. This session will consist an introduction to Poll Everywhere, followed by a practical workshop to explore different applications of the tool. This session is part of Digital Education Training Week.

Aim: This session aims to give you a better understanding of Poll Everywhere, the University’s live audience response tool, and how it can be used to better engage with students during lectures, seminars and group work. Colleagues across the University are using Poll Everywhere in a number of exciting and innovative ways, in the second half of this session we will explore some examples of best practice in a practical workshop.

Learning Outcomes: Poll Everywhere is designed to offer immediate feedback and keep students engaged. In this session we will look at the basics of Poll Everywhere and get hands-on with some creative and engaging applications for the tool, from live lecture response, to group critique and module evaluation.
