Digied19: Education in a Digital Age

After the success of last years #LALTCON18 event we are pleased to announce the launch of our DigiEd19 Event: Education in a Digital Age (Book tickets here)

Open to all Staff and Students.
The DigiEd 19: Education in a Digital Age conference will showcase research, teaching practice and methods of embedding technology inside of the curriculum and supporting students with independent learning, with contributors from across the LALT community here at the University of Lincoln.
There will be a whole host of activities ranging from workshops, presentations and hands-on experience with technology. The bookable sessions include a keynote from Prof. Rose Luckin (UCL) – Connecting Research, Educators and Business | 12:45 – 13:30
There will be a gamezone which focuses on the gamification of learning. This will include arcade games, designed by the students and staff as well as a virtual reality car driving game.
Support desks will be provided by teams from: ICT Services, Mental Health and Well-being Project, Digital Education and Student Life and the Library. Drop in and ask them any questions about tools and support available.
Free pizza, pastries and refreshments will be provided throughout the event.

Workshops and presentations will be running throughout the day. Stay for the whole day or just drop in for 20 mins – there’s something for everyone and it promises to be a great day to inspire, inform and engage with this important aspect of learning & teaching.
