Blackboard: An overview for Administrators

Description: This session will provide an introduction to Blackboard for new administrators or those who feel they need a refresher on the way in which the VLE is used to administrate teaching and learning at Lincoln. This session will provide a broad overview of the key features required to use Blackboard as an administrator. This session is part of Digital Education Training Week.
Aim: You should leave this session with a greater understanding of how Blackboard, the University VLE, works and its main uses. You will feel confident with navigating around the new design and accomplishing the tasks you will need to complete on Blackboard to administrate courses within your school and college. This session will also cover the institutional hierarchies feature that is available to all administrators, providing them with specific system admin tools.
Learning Outcomes: This course is aimed at new administration staff or those that feel they could benefit from a Blackboard refresher. The session will cover the basics of and provide an overview of the tools and features available to administrate teaching and learning.
